BACHMANN

Bachmann bought Graham Farish in the Summer of 2000. Initialy production remained in Poole, Dorset with the aim to move this to China. This move and setting-up new tooling took some time and it was late in 2001 before new models with limited upgrades, such as blackened wheels, started to arrive. Priority was given to chassis upgrades.

Over the years Bachmann have continued to upgrade older models introducing head/tail lights, DCC Sockets and DCC Sound versions. Old models like the Class 20s have been vastly improved; some models like the HST, Class 52 and Class 56 were dropped and other manufacturers have picked up these models.

Rolling stock has also been upgraded with many new coaches and wagons being phased in.
